Coating Applications news
Factory Relocation
Coating Applications has recently taken the difficult decision to relocate its factories in Prestonpans and Huncoat to a larger site in Rawtenstall, Lancashire.
The relocation will proceed as follows -
May 24th - June 25th = PU coating machines will move from the CAG site
June 28th - Aug 2nd = production at IQ will cease and machines will be moved
July 19th - Aug 16th = PVC coating machines will move from the CAG site.
This represents a considerable investment in a very positive future for Coating Applications.
However, we appreciate that such upheaval may cause problems to our customers, for which we apologise.
Cordura / Ability Product Ranges
As part of our drive to extend and improve our performance product range, we are now introducing a range of coated Cordura fabrics. These will be available ex-stock.
There will also be a budget "Ability" brand for customers who do not need the performance or branding of Cordura.
This shows our ongoing commitment to give our customers what they need.
New Silver Lining to our PVC Products
CAG are happy to announce that we have not only improved the fungicide used in our PVC fabric, but also introduced an anti-microbial component.
This means that as well as restricting fungal growth, we are now utilising the properties of SILVER to restrict the spread of MRSA and E.Coli.
This is now standard on our N600 range and on other selected products.
We truly believe that this is a unique advantage to our customers.
Child Friendly PVC
After listening to consumer concerns over the safety of the phthalate levels of regular PVC products used for child-play applications, Coating Applications have taken the lead and developed a phthalate free PVC. The research and development for this product has taken many months, but following recent external certification, we are confident that our product is now ready for market. We are currently the only European manufacturer to offer phthalate free PVC into the soft play market which conforms to the recently updated European Legislation for toys.
